Burner Maintenance Tips

During operation, burners must be regularly maintained. Burner maintenance is crucial for the following three reasons:

1. Ensure normal boiler operation without downtime;

2. Extend the life of the burner;

3. Safety! Safety! Safety!

I. Daily Maintenance and Care

1. Always keep all surfaces clean.

2. When the equipment is shut down, lubricate all rotating parts of the quick-opening blind plate (flange cover) promptly and in accordance with regulations. Grease the screws in the opening and closing areas. Grease other parts as much as possible. For areas that cannot be greased, use 10# or 20# engine oil.

II. Maintenance and Care During Operation

1. It is recommended that the operator be responsible for routine maintenance of the equipment.

2. Always keep the equipment surfaces clean.

3. Monitor the differential pressure gauge reading at all times. When the operating pressure differential reaches 0.02 MPa, flush the filter element.

III. Inspection Interval

1. Regular inspections of this equipment must be conducted in strict accordance with the relevant regulations.

2. Perform a comprehensive inspection and wall thickness measurement on this equipment at least once annually, and perform nondestructive testing on pressure-bearing welds every two years. All inspection and test results should be recorded in the equipment's technical files.

3. No maintenance should be performed on the ultra-low nitrogen burner while internal pressure is present.

IV. Maintenance During Storage

1. When this equipment is stored, drain all liquids.

2. Close all valves.

3. Thoroughly clean the equipment surfaces.

4. Apply anti-grease to all rotating parts.

5. Cover all parts of the equipment with canvas to prevent dust and dirt from accumulating on the equipment surfaces.

V. Maintenance of Components

1. Main Gas Source - Check the main gas source regulating valve to ensure the circuit is intact. Do not adjust the gas company's regulating valve. The gas company will assist in cleaning, maintaining, and adjusting the main gas source regulating valve. If there is a sensor line, inspect it for damage. Filter - If a "Y" type filter is installed before the control regulating valve, clean it carefully. Control Valve - Check the control valve on the gas burner to see if the adjusting bolt is easily adjustable. Ensure all outlets and screens are free of obstruction.

2. Burner - Inspect the gas line assembly to confirm the manual switch adjustment is sensitive and the valve handle is properly installed. Check the gas pressure gauge for proper operation. Accurate pressure readings are critical when adjusting the gas burner. Turn the low and high pressure switches to confirm their operation. Clean and lubricate the gas valve connections. If the connections are sticking or rough, replace them with appropriate fittings. If the burner has removable piping, clean these as well.

3. Main Fan - Check the main fan inlet for protective devices and operating conditions. Repair any leaks on the fan. Observe the blades during operation for excessive noise and vibration. If so, adjust the blades to eliminate these. Ensure the required air pressure is met. In addition to cleaning and lubricating the connections, adjust the air valve for smooth operation. Exhaust - Verify that the exhaust damper control is functioning properly and is set correctly. Lubricate the damper joints to ensure smooth operation. Inspect the damper blades for wear.

4. Ignition System - Clean the ignition nozzle and verify the spark gap of the ignition electrode is normal.

5. Components - Clean the flame detector and ensure it is properly positioned and cooled.
